We are looking for a PER DIEM Registered Dietician to work in our inpatient clinical setting at Hampton Behavioral Health Center. This position plays a vital role in the healthcare team by providing nutritional care to patients in various disease states and conditions. Compromised nutrition in a hospital setting can lead to slow healing and recovery and may extend hospital stays.

  • Clinical Dietician monitor, assess, and optimize nutrition status based on the patient's current medical condition and/or nutrition adequacy.
  • Coordinate medical and nutritional needs, and make recommendations for feedings and/or dietary supplements.
  • Clinical Dietician instruct patients on how to make nutritionally sound food choices to speed the recovery process, prevent disease and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
  • Conducts Nutritional Assessments as needed with complete documentation in medical record in accordance with Healthcare policies of Hampton, NJ State and Joint Commission.
  • Provides patient education individually and in group setting

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics
  • Must have a Registered Dietician Certification
  • At least one year experience as Registered Dietician in a Healthcare setting; psychiatric preferred.
  • Must have current CPR/BLS
