Underground Coal Miner – Experienced & Entry-Level

JENNMAR Services is NOW HIRING Underground Coal Miners in the Prosperity, Claysville & Waynesburg, PA areas.

We are seeking both experienced Black Hat miners and individuals looking to begin or continue their careers as Red Hat/Apprentice Miners.

JENNMAR Services offers FREE 80-Hour MSHA Underground New Miner Training for qualified candidates entering the industry.

PAY

• Red Hat / Apprentice Miners: $22–$24/hour

• Black Hat / Experienced Miners: $27–$28/hour

• Sign-On & Retention Bonus opportunities for qualified candidates

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Depending on experience, certification and job assignment, duties may include:

• General underground labor

• Belt work

• Roller and screen changes

• Steel sets

• Overcasts

• Jacks

• Seal preparation

• Pumpable cribs

• Scoop operation

• Roof bolting

• Gunnite work

• Other underground mining duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Experienced miners must possess the appropriate Pennsylvania Underground Coal Miner certification

• Apprentice/Red Hat candidates must meet applicable training and certification requirements

• Valid driver's license

• Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

• Ability to perform physically demanding underground work

• Ability to regularly lift 50–75 pounds throughout the shift

• Ability to regularly lift and work above shoulder/head level

• Must be able to successfully complete required pre-employment screening

• Hair follicle drug testing and alcohol testing required
