Eckert Seamans is a full-service national law firm with a strong reputation and a history of success spanning over 65 years. With approximately 300 lawyers across a network of 15 offices, we provide clients with proactive, solution-oriented business and litigation counsel. We seek a Commercial Litigation Associate for our White Plains or New York City office. The attorney hired for this position will work directly with partners and other associates on litigation matters in a fast-paced, active environment and directly communicate and interact with clients. 

The ideal candidate will have experience with all phases of litigation, including conducting factual investigations and discovery, preparing pleadings, taking depositions, and preparing substantive motions in New York state and federal courts. Prior judicial clerkship experience is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of commercial litigation experience
  • Excellent academic credentials and strong drafting skills
  • Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Competence and desire to manage a variety of active matters independently  
  • Court and deposition experience strongly preferred 
  • Licensed to practice in New York is required; Licensed to practice in New Jersey and Connecticut are a plus

In compliance with New York Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for this position is $157,000 - $175,000. We note the salary information as a general guideline only, as we will consider various factors to determine the offer for this role, including the scope and responsibilities of the position, relevant work skills and experience, and education.
