Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is looking for Histology Technician / Histotechnician to join a Professional Pathology Laboratory Unit responsible for producing high-quality tissue slides for Pathologist evaluation. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented laboratory professional with strong histology skills and a commitment to accuracy and quality.Â
Full-Time | Evening Shift
Schedule: Days & hours vary
Pay:$32.51–$48.76/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Process, embed, section, and prepare tissue specimens for diagnosis.
- Perform H&E, special stains, and IHC procedures.
- Maintain slide quality through appropriate quality control and testing.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow laboratory safety and regulatory standards.
- Identify and escalate specimen, equipment, or testing issues as needed.
Requirements
- Valid New York State laboratory license/credential applicable to the role.
- Education meeting NYS Office of the Professions & CLIA requirements.
- Strong knowledge of histology procedures and laboratory quality standards.
- 1+ year of histology experience preferred.
- ASCP certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced lab.
