Summary/ Objective: (summary and overall objectives of role)

The CNC Operator/ Mazak Lathe Operator is responsible for setting up, adjusting and operating the CNC, Mazak Lathe machines.

Essential Functions: (essential functions, including how an individual is to perform them and frequency at which tasks are performed; the tasks must be part of the job function and truly necessary or required to perform the job)

Read blueprints and job instructions to ensure machined parts meet production specifications
Set-up, adjust and operate CNC , Mazak Lathe machinery

Competencies: (knowledge, skills & abilities; hard & soft skills)

Knowledge of G&M codes
Knowledge of Mazatrol
Ability to use measurement and inspection tools

Supervisory Responsibilities: (level of supervision; authorities)

None

Work Environment: (the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person’s working conditions while performing the job)

Manufacturing plant environment
High noise level – ear protection required in area

Physical Demands: (the physical demands of the job including, bending, sitting, lifting, driving, etc.)

Required education and experience: (education and experience based on requirements that are job-related and consistent with business necessity)

Must be at least 18 years of age
One year of CNC Lathe experience

Preferred education and experience: (preferred education and experience based on requirements that are job related and consistent with business necessity)

High school diploma or GED

Additional eligibility qualifications: (additional requirements such as certifications, industry-specific experience and the experience working with certain equipment)
