Job Summary
We are seeking an in person, full-time, detail-oriented and organized Medical Records Clerk to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing patient medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with healthcare regulations. This role is essential in supporting the overall efficiency of our medical office and providing quality service to our patients. Pay will be consistent with experience.

Responsibilities

Organize and maintain patient medical records, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate.
Scanning, sorting and uploading chart documents to the electronic health record.
Retrieve and file medical records as requested by staff and providers in Clinic.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements regarding patient confidentiality and record-keeping.
Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to input, update, and manage patient information.
Communicate effectively with medical staff to facilitate the flow of information.
Respond to requests for medical records from patients, physicians, and insurance companies in a timely manner.

Experience

Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare systems is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Proficient in using computer systems for data entry and record management.
