Automotive Technician - Volvo *Sign On Bonus*

Job Details: Job Location: Northtown Volvo Porsche - Williamsville, NY, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: 2 Year Degree, Salary Range: $28.00 - $35.00Hourly, Travel Percentage: Negligible, Job Shift: Full Time (3 day workweek), Job Category: Skilled Labor - Trades, Northtown Volvo is currently looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to work with our Volvo brand vehicles. Occupational Summary:Technicians are responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards Essential Job Functions: Receive repair orders from Service Advisors and perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repair Communicate with the Parts department to obtain needed parts. Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer. Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required and inform Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised. Document all work performed Road-test vehicles when required. Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean. Keep shop area neat and clean as well as be able to account for all dealership owned tools at all times.Schedule:Full-time, 3 day rotating schedule : 7:30AM - 9:00PM (Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday for one month and then Thursday/Friday/Saturday for the next month) Sign-on bonus: A $10,000 sign-on bonus will be paid out to applicants who are at an A status and have manufacturer training as well as a dealership background. The bonus will be paid out incrementally, beginning 90 days after start date  Qualifications: Qualifications:  *REQUIRED* Previous work as an Automotive Technician; or Graduation from an accredited Automotive Repair program. Valid, and active, in-state drivers license. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, both verbal and written. Ability to operate smartphone, tablet and/or PC.
