Job DetailsJob Location: Various - Wilmette, IL 60091Position Type: Part Time Short TermEducation Level: Not SpecifiedSalary Range: $16.00 - $16.00 HourlyJob Shift: VariousJob Category: RecreationJOB SUMMARY: The Soccer Field Supervisor will monitor the soccer fields during practices and games and is responsible for setting up and taking down equipment.   SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Actively support the agency’s risk management protocol to effectively control and reduce accidents Obey the practical safety rules, regulations, and procedures established by the Safety Committee, and attend and participate in required safety training Promptly report all unsafe actions, practices or conditions to the immediate supervisor Perform other related duties as assigned, based on agency needs Create a safe, engaging environment through the framework of soccer practices and games Set up and take down soccer goals (as needed) and equipment Oversee first aid station during practice and games Complete accident/incident reports in full and submit to the direct supervisor Interact positively with youth, coaches, parents/guardians, and team members Communicate with other Park District staff, supervisors, coaches, parents & players as needed Actively uphold and contribute to the Wilmette Park District's Comprehensive and Strategic Plan, including its Guiding Principles and Strategic Priorities. Actively contribute to the Park District's sustainability goals.   SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES: Actively support the safety program that will effectively control and reduce accidents. Obey the safety rules, regulations, and procedures established by the Wilmette Park District safety program that are pertinent to the activities conducted by the department. Become familiar with and follow safety procedures of the Wilmette Park District, including, but not limited to, fire, severe weather, and evacuation procedures. Promptly report all unsafe actions, practices, or conditions observed to the immediate supervisor or to the Human Resources/Risk Management department. Attend and participate in required safety training.   QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.   EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must be at least 18 years of age At least one year of experience playing soccer   KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to project across a large area using clear and concise language Ability to maintain self-control and composure in high-stress and/or difficult situations Ability to work independently and to problem-solve   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to work outdoors in all seasons Must be able to run back and forth along the length of a soccer field Ability to lift 50 lbs. for 25 yards   CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Illinois Driver’s license Must possess CPR/First Aid certificates within three months of hiring, provided by the Park District   WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described herein are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The general work area is outdoors and is subject to seasonal weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
