A Day in the Life 

As an Analyst I or II in our Wilmington, NC lab, you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.   

The compensation range for this role is $22.00 to $27.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.   

Schedule: This position will train on 1st shift hours. Once training is complete this position will move to 2nd shift.

To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:  

  • Analyze environmental samples utilizing LCMSMS and GCMS
  • Troubleshoot instrument issues and perform routine maintenance
  • Process data in accordance with SOPs for inclusion in client reports
  • Proficient with office software and ability to learn required operational/quantification software
  • Aid in development and optimization of analytical methods
  • Maintain and update knowledge of relevant instrumentation
  • Readily adapt to change in a positive manner and handle other essential tasks as assigned
  • Comply with laboratory quality assurance plan and other policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Your Expertise and Skills 

These requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here.  

  • BA / BS Degree in Chemistry or Natural Science (or equivalent training)
  • 2-4 years’ experience in an environmental analytical chemistry; Instrument software or commercial laboratory experience is an asset

  • Sitting, standing, and walking 
  • Lifting 50 pounds several times a day 
  • Overhead lifting of over 20 pounds 
  • Works in an office environment
