What We OfferĀ 

The Maintenance & Reliability ManagerĀ is responsible forĀ executing our global asset management strategy and ensuring theĀ optimalĀ performance of our production facilities. Lead a maintenance departmentĀ comprisingĀ 5 professionals, with 2 direct reports. This role is viewed as a ā€œdualā€ role with the expectation that 70% of the time is spent on reliability improvements and 30% of time is spent to act as Manager of the maintenance team. Responsible for improving andĀ maintainingĀ reliability, operability, and mechanical integrity of plant equipment and site facilities in a cost-efficient manner.Ā 

The payĀ rangeĀ for this role is $110,998-$158,539 annually. Additionally, it includesĀ annual bonus potential, generous paid time off, 401K with company match, retirement contribution, tuition reimbursement, parental leave and medical, dental and vision coverage (no waiting period).Ā 

Major ResponsibilitiesĀ 

  • Implement and manage maintenance and reliability strategies to support production and business objectivesĀ 

  • Develop and manage the departmental budgetĀ 

  • Share technical best practices at the site and within the international Covestro networkĀ 

  • Continuously improve asset availability in collaboration with internal stakeholders through KPIs and process optimizationĀ 

  • Resolve complex technical issues using Root Cause AnalysisĀ 

  • Ensure safety and regulatory complianceĀ 

  • Implement standards, systems, and KPIs (asset availability targets) forĀ optimalĀ assetĀ utilizationĀ 

  • Develop and inspire maintenance and reliability professionalsĀ 

  • Manage external partners and contractorsĀ 

  • Foster a culture of safety, ownership, and continuous improvementĀ 

  • Site expert for SAP PM and TMMĀ 

  • Follow the site’s management of change process when implementing improvementsĀ 

  • Provides technical support to the production and maintenance teams in a 24/7 manufacturing environmentĀ 

  • Implement Preventative (PM)/ Predictive Maintenance (PdM) techniques/technologies toĀ determineĀ functional status of equipment. Based on PM/PdMĀ findings, make recommendations on changes/modifications to equipment asset policies and stay informed of the latest PM/PdMĀ techniques and tools and recommend applications.Ā 

  • Follow up on unexpected failures toĀ determineĀ if inspection/analysis techniques require modification to provide the properĀ indicationĀ of potential future failure.Ā 

  • Collaborate with engineering and equipment experts toĀ determineĀ required changes to FMEA/RCM/EMPĀ Ā 

  • Has up-to-date knowledge about relevant internal regulations,Ā alignsĀ and communicates on site level toĀ assureĀ compliance with company policies in the field of asset reliability.Ā 

  • IdentifyĀ and provide resource needs and skillsetsĀ requiredĀ to achieveĀ availabilityĀ targets and goals.Ā 

  • Assures uniformity in technical standards and technical operations at the site.Ā 

  • Has functional responsibility forĀ peopleĀ development in the site's reliability/maintenance team.Ā 

  • Define and implement the maintenance plan including preventive and predictive maintenance plans, in line with the agreed manufacturing plan,Ā in order toĀ ensure maximum availability of the production facilitiesĀ onĀ the short and the long term.Ā 

  • Manage andĀ monitorĀ the execution of the maintenance plan and take corrective actionsĀ in order toĀ achieve the results.Ā 

  • Analyze the plant andĀ determineĀ the criticality of installed equipment. For critical equipment, perform Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA), equipment specific for high critical andĀ generic forĀ medium critical.Ā 

  • IdentifyĀ and prioritize performance killers and cost drivers related to equipment reliability by evaluating the performance of the plant, using statistical methods, RCA (Root Cause Analysis)Ā and FMEA (Failure Mode & Effect Analysis)Ā 

  • Propose and initiate solutions toĀ eliminateĀ actual and potential performance killers and discuss with stakeholders (maintenance, production, business, etc.). Ensure handover toĀ appropriate workĀ process.Ā

What You OfferĀ 

Basic QualificationsĀ 

  • BachelorsĀ degree in an Engineering fieldĀ 

  • At least 10 years of experienceĀ in manufacturing/production in a maintenance or technical support roleĀ 

Preferred QualificationsĀ 

  • Experience working in the Chemical industryĀ 

  • Experience in reliability improvement is strongly preferred.Ā 

  • Experience in using SAP maintenance is strongly preferred.Ā
