This position is responsible for assisting with the development, leadership and administration of all aspects of a successful NCAA Division III program. Includes a stipend, housing and meals.  

Reports to: Head Coach of Men's Lacrosse 

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head Lacrosse Coach, the successful candidate will assist with the successful development of student-athletes both in the classroom and on the field of competition. Additionally, candidates will provide instruction in the personal development of student-athletes in a manner which reflects Wilmington’s commitment to competitiveness and ethical behavior. This position is responsible for assisting the head lacrosse coach with the development, leadership, and administration of all aspects of a successful NCAA Division III lacrosse program. Duties include but are not limited to; assisting with recruitment of quality student-athletes, assist with the development and meeting of fundraising goals that support the lacrosse program, assist with the planning and execution of competitive game strategies, assist with the supervision of team members during off-campus trips, assist with transportation and lodging arrangements, and assist with general office duties. 

 

Required Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree is required. Excellent interpersonal communication skills; ability to analyze situations and develop solutions; ability to travel and work non-traditional hours; ability to foster positive internal and external public relations. 

 

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as a student-athlete is preferred, but not required.
