We provide a premier alpine experience defined by exceptional terrain, minimal lift lines, and a personalized, high-quality approach to skiing and riding. Our mission is to cultivate a lifelong passion for snowsports through excellence in instruction, coaching, and member experience. Job Description The Hermitage Club is seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our Snowsports Team as Junior Instructors. This entry-level position is ideal for those passionate about skiing and who enjoy working with children. Junior Instructors support the daily operations of our youth programs by assisting instructors with supervision, organization, and lift riding, all while fostering a fun, safe, and engaging learning environment.This position is designed for individuals interested in pursuing a future as an Instructor.   Pay Rate $15.00/hr   Paid Training and Certification Reimbursement: Paid training offered at $20/hr. Reimbursement programs for attaining new certifications, attending required prerequisites, and required CEU update events.   Key Responsibilities: Assist instructors with the delivery of seasonal and daily ski lessons. Help set up and break down teaching areas. Support instructors and supervisors with check-in and check-out procedures at the snow front. Help children safely load and unload chairlifts in accordance with safety protocols. Provide supervision and assistance to children during snack, lunch, and restroom breaks. Support overall member experience through responsiveness, professionalism, and program knowledge. Safety & Supervision Promote and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. Monitor and attend to students’ physical and emotional needs throughout the day. Maintain positive, informative, and courteous communication with members, guests, and fellow staff. Ensuring the release of students in accordance with policies and procedures   Team Collaboration Work in alignment with The Hermitage Club’s policies and procedures. Represent the Snow Sports team professionally and contribute to a supportive, team-oriented culture. Participate in required training sessions and on-the-job development opportunities. QualificationsMinimum Requirements Must be 14 (fourteen) years of age by December 1st Ability to ski/snowboard at an intermediate/advanced level Fluent in English, both verbal and written Ability to work with children of all ages Available to work weekends and holidays Supply well-maintained personal equipment appropriate for their discipline   Preferred Attributes Positive, coachable attitude with willingness to learn and apply feedback Experience with young children Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with children and adults. Flexibility to support training needs, group changes, and schedule adjustments Physical Demands & Work Environment Ability to ski, stand, and remain active for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and up to 20 pounds frequently Ability to work outdoors for prolonged periods in winter alpine conditions, including inclement weather
