Job DetailsJob Location: Humboldt General Hospital - Winnemuca, NV 89445Position Type: Per Diem / Casual CallEducation Level: Graduate DegreeTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: AnyJob Category: Health Care POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for performing routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in diagnostic radiology to ensure the production of quality images of all anatomical structures for interpretation by the Radiologist.            TASK LETTER CODE PRIMARY DUTIES (Are the essential job tasks or primary responsibilities that the individual who holds the position mist be able to perform unaided or with the assistance of an accommodation. For example: “DO” (action verb) + “WHAT” (object) – “Collects vitals from patients at the being of the visit according to clinic protocol”. % OF TIME PERFORMING DUTY A Effectively operates and maintains required equipment necessary to produce radiographic images.   B Follows established imaging protocols and ensure image quality standards are met   C Follows established Safety Standards to ensure safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.   D Instructs students and residents and performs preceptor duties as necessary.   E Established ownership of clinical area by taking pride in appearance and readiness of exam rooms, equipment and supplies.   F Utilizes the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle in regards to all radiologic exams and modalities.   G Maintains a positive and professional atmosphere for patients and personnel. Demonstrates interpersonal skills necessary in order to interact effectively with patients and personnel who may be under physical or emotional stress.   H Serves, manages and supports internal and external customers.   I Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns.   J Positions patients and operates equipment to produce the most reliable and informational data.   K Performs tests with portable equipment in patient rooms when necessary.   L Observes patient for any unusual reactions or events and acts appropriately.   M Reviews and evaluates completed tests for quality, completeness, and type of test ordered; ensures quality images.   N Explains procedures to patients thoroughly, provides assistance, when necessary, monitors patients’ comfort and alleviates anxiety during procedures.   O Other related duties as assigned.   Qualifications POSITION QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM EDUCATION: Must be a graduate of an ARRT accredited Radiography program.   PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associate of Applied Science in any imaging related field   MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: TBD   REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: Nevada State Radiographer’s License in Radiography and CT   PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: ARRT registered CPR/AED Certification   SPECIAL SKILLS: Must be able to read, write and speak the English language in an understandable manner. Must have a willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel Must have experience with computers. Requires patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
