Amarr, a part of ASSA ABLOY – the global leader in opening solutions - is hiring an experienced Business Analyst at our Winston Salem, NC corporate office skilled at gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for technology initiatives across the company. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and developers to ensure solutions align with business objectives and deliver measurable value.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to identify business needs and define project objectives.
  • Gather, document, and manage business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirements-gathering sessions.
  • Create user stories, process flows, workflow diagrams, and business requirements documents.
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements.
  • Support solution design, testing, and user acceptance activities.
  • Manage requirement traceability and change requests.
  • Assist with training materials, documentation, and end-user adoption activities.
  • Provide status updates and communicate risks, issues, and dependencies to stakeholders.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting business and technology projects.
  • Strong experience with requirements elicitation and documentation.
  • Experience creating user stories, process maps, use cases, and functional specifications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile and/or Scrum environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience supporting software development projects.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools such as Power BI or SQL.

The Details:

We offer a competitive salary based on experience and we understand the value of work-life balance. Our office hours are 7:30 – 5:30pm Monday – Thursday and 7:30-11:30a Fridays.

Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays from day one, tuition reimbursement, and a 401k plan (with an automatic 3% company contribution, regardless of your contribution) among others.
