Your Opportunity
Our Winston Salem, NC office has an opportunity for a Land Surveying Instrument Operator within our Community Development Group.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Operate multiple surveying instruments and data collectors.
- Operate a survey grade GPS unit for location and stakeout task.Â
- Upload and download survey data to and from a computer.Â
- Work as a team player under the supervision of the Survey Crew Chief.Â
- Maintain the survey supplies in the work truck daily.Â
- Adhere to Company safety polices along with use of supplied personal protective equipment, (PPE).Â
- Complete internal and external training as required.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Availability to travel for out-of-town projects when needed.Â
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime.Â
- Strong technical and mathematical skills.Â
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy working outdoors.
- Physical ability to safety perform work in various environmental conditions with varied terrain with the ability to lift/carry heavy equipment weighing up to 50lbs.
Education and Experience
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year of surveying experience, preferred.
Position will primarily be field work and may require travel.
