As a Mechanical Assembler, you will turn blueprints, parts, and components into complete, functional assemblies. What You’ll DoÂ
- Read and follow mechanical blueprints, engineering drawings, assembly diagrams, work orders, and production schedules.Â
- Gather, clean, align, position, fit, and securely fasten parts and subassemblies.Â
- Use hand tools, power tools, hoists, templates, and related assembly equipment safely and effectively.Â
- Inspect parts and finished assemblies using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.Â
- Identify defects, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and complete adjustments, repairs, or rework to meet specifications.Â
- Complete production logs, quality checklists, and inventory requisitions accurately.Â
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all safety and PPE requirements.Â
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.Â
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of how parts and systems fit together.Â
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and written work instructions.Â
- Proficiency with common hand and power tools.Â
- Attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to safe, high-quality work.Â
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with team members, supervisors, quality, and engineering staff.Â
- Preferred: 2–4 years of mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience and experience using calipers or micrometers.Â
Physical RequirementsÂ
- Use manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to complete detailed assembly work.Â
- Stand, bend, reach, and perform hands-on tasks for extended periods.Â
- Lift and move materials required for the work safely, with appropriate assistance or equipment when needed.Â
