As we continue building a positive culture under the leadership of our new Director of Nursing, we are looking for leaders who are passionate about resident care, team development, and clinical excellence.

Position Summary

The RN Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical operations of an assigned nursing unit, ensuring quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff support. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and compassion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support nursing staff on the assigned unit
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality resident-centered care
  • Monitor resident conditions and coordinate care planning
  • Conduct clinical assessments and follow-up as needed
  • Manage admissions, discharges, and care transitions
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, residents, and families
  • Assist with staff coaching, education, and performance development
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting
  • Promote a positive work environment focused on teamwork and resident outcomes

Qualifications

  • Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
  • Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Qualifications

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing preferred. • Valid State license.• One to three years (1-3) years of supervisory experience preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESSupervises nursing staff and others for whom they are administratively or professionally responsible.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTMay be required to respond to critical issues on a 24/7 basis. Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or fingers, reach with hands and arms, feel, talk and hear. Employee is occasionally exposed to blood or other body fluids, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
