Adapt Integrated Health Care is looking for a qualified Health Insurance Enrollment Specialist & Mobile Clinic Driver to join their Primary Care team!Â
The Insurance Enrollment Specialist & Mobile Clinic Driver assists individuals and families in obtaining health coverage through the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) and Marketplace insurance programs while supporting the operation of Adapt Integrated Health Care's Mobile Medical Clinic. This position is responsible for transporting the mobile clinic to and from community service locations, assisting with setup and takedown activities, performing routine upkeep and cleaning of the mobile unit, and coordinating maintenance needs with the Fleet Services Manager. During mobile clinic events, the employee provides enrollment assistance, greets patients, and helps connect individuals to appropriate healthcare services and resources. When the mobile clinic is not deployed, the employee provides OHP and Marketplace enrollment assistance throughout Adapt's programs and service locations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License and ability to remain insurable under Adapt Integrated Health Care's vehicle insurance program.
- Experience operating and safely maneuvering large vehicles.
- Experience safely operating and maneuvering a large mobile medical unit as an essential function of the position.
- Position requires lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and moving up to 50 pounds as required to transport equipment and perform mobile clinic setup and takedown activities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Position requires performing physical setup and takedown of canopies, tables, chairs, signage, and outreach equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.Â
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Desire to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and community settings.
Preferred
- Experience in a clerical, administrative, healthcare, or community outreach setting.
- Experience assisting individuals with insurance enrollment or benefits applications.
- Familiarity with Oregon Health Plan (OHP), Marketplace insurance, EPIC, or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Responsibilities
Health Insurance Enrollment Services
- Assist individuals and families with completing applications for the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) and Marketplace insurance programs.
- Provide education on health coverage options, eligibility requirements, enrollment timelines, renewals, and application processes.
- Review and verify income and supporting documentation to determine eligibility based on Federal Poverty Level (FPL) guidelines.
- Obtain and maintain certifications required to provide Oregon Health Plan and Marketplace enrollment assistance.
- Document enrollment assistance activities in Adapt's Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with HIPAA, organizational standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Stay current with OHP and Marketplace policies, procedures, and certification requirements.
- Attend required trainings and collaborative meetings hosted by the Oregon Health Authority and partner organizations.
Mobile Clinic Operations
- Safely transport the mobile medical clinic to and from community outreach events and service locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report concerns.
- Assist with setup and takedown of the mobile clinic, including large canopies, tables, chairs, signage, and outreach materials.
- Ensure the mobile clinic is prepared and operational before services begin and properly secured after events conclude.
- Greet patients and community members and assist them in accessing available services.
- Assist other members of the mobile clinic team in supporting a safe, welcoming, and efficient service environment.
Mobile Clinic Maintenance and Readiness
- Perform routine day-to-day operational checks and upkeep of the mobile clinic to ensure readiness for service.
- Clean and sanitize the mobile clinic before and after use to maintain a safe, professional, and patient-ready environment.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and inventory of the mobile unit and outreach equipment.
- Monitor and maintain fuel, propane, freshwater, wastewater, and utility systems.
- Fill fuel, propane, and freshwater tanks as needed and empty black and gray water tanks in accordance with safety and sanitation requirements.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, and service needs with the Fleet Services Manager.
- Track and report maintenance concerns, supply needs, and operational issues promptly.
- Ensure the mobile unit is properly secured and stored following community events.
Organizational Responsibilities
- Participate in community events, health fairs, and mobile clinic outreach activities.
- Maintain professional interactions with coworkers, patients, community partners, and the public.
- Maintain strict compliance with all confidentiality policies and guidelines to safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI) and other confidential information.
- Promote a Culture of Safety by reporting hazards, errors, and potential patient safety concerns.
- Report for duty as expected during public health emergencies.
- Support HealthCare Service Coordinators and other programs as needed.
