Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Measure, cut, fit, and install insulation materials on piping, equipment, and vessels.
- Select appropriate insulation materials based on application and operating conditions.
- Install and secure insulation using adhesives, fasteners, sealants, tape, and protective coverings.
- Fabricate and install metal jacketing and weatherproofing materials.
- Remove and replace existing insulation as needed.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and orderly condition.
- Follow all site safety requirements and hazardous material handling procedures.
- Complete assigned work safely, efficiently, and with high-quality workmanship.
Asbestos Abatement Work
This position may include work associated with asbestos abatement activities, including the removal, repair, encapsulation, or handling of asbestos-containing materials. Employees performing this work will be required to follow all applicable safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
No prior asbestos certification is required. Zachry will provide the necessary training and qualifications for employees assigned to asbestos-related work.
Qualifications
- Industrial insulation experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and work instructions.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in industrial environments and follow all safety requirements.
- NCCER Industrial Insulator certification preferred but not required based on experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, and work in various positions throughout the day.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and use fall protection equipment.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions while wearing required PPE.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots.
Requirements

- Pass a DISA background check
- Pass a drug test
- Have a valid driver's license
