About the Role:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients in various healthcare settings. This position focuses on assisting patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity at all times. The CNA works closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to support patient care plans and monitor patient conditions. Through direct patient interaction, the CNA helps to improve patient outcomes and enhances the overall healthcare experience. This role requires a strong commitment to patient advocacy, attention to detail, and the ability to respond effectively to the needs of diverse patient populations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program.
  • Completion of state-mandated background checks and health screenings.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and patient care procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Physical capability to perform patient care tasks, including lifting and moving patients as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting such as a hospital, nursing home, or assisted living facility.
  • Additional certifications such as CPR and First Aid.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Bilingual language skills to support diverse patient populations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
  • Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting a positive and respectful environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and healthcare equipment according to infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare team members to implement individualized care plans and ensure continuity of care.
