Testing Lab Director

ViridianStaffing's (www.viridianstaffing.com) Client is looking for an experiencedSenior Analytical Chemist / Lab Manager to join a cannabis testing facility inthe Yonkers, New York, Area.

In this role,you'll get the opportunity to oversee the operations of a licensed CannabisTesting Facility.  You will beresponsible for developing and validating analytical methods,  that are in compliance with requirements setby the State of New York.  Using your proven success in testingaccuracy in the cannabis industry, you will enforce and improve on standardoperating procedures (SOPs) and are very dedicated to quality.  Whiledeveloping these SOP's/workflows, you'll ensure the team is in compliance withall regulations and SOPs relating to safety, security, and health aswell.  You'll use your exceptional written and verbal communicationskills, to help convey test results, and when necessary, recommend solutions tolicensed cannabis operations. You are known for your ability to develop andgrow your team in the Lab and motivate members of the team to do their bestwork.  

You should have aBachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or relevant degree,with 7+ years' experience of laboratory operation experience, 2+ yearsexperience managing laboratory workers, and at least 1+ years of experienceoperating a licensed cannabis or environmental testing lab. You haveexperience conducting analytical tests for mold, heavy metals andpesticides.  Ideally, you also haveexperience conducting tests for potency.  You have a customer focused mindset and enjoy working with customers,but you are also very analytical and have an understanding of mathematicalapplications.  You are also able to rampup on equipment and computer systems quickly. 

Pay:$110,000-$140,000
