Physician Practice Enhancement is seeking an experienced Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician for a Per Diem Hospitalist Position at Saint Joseph's Medical Center in Yonkers.

This position is not guaranteed shifts - you will be covering vacations, sick time and increased volumes

St Joseph's Medical Center serves Yonkers and surrounding communities of lower Westchester and Northern Bronx with patient-centered, quality focused inpatient and outpatient care.

Shifts can be 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am

Rates $140Days/$150Nights

Bedside procedures required

EMR Cerner Millenium

Must be BC/BE

Valid unrestricted NY Medical License

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities


Provide direct patient care in the hospital setting, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of various medical conditions.

Manage admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients during night shifts.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Conduct clinical research as needed to support ongoing improvement in patient care practices.

Respond promptly to emergencies and provide pediatric emergency medicine when required.

Qualifications


Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.

Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.

Familiarity with addiction medicine practices is a plus.

Proficient in managing electronic medical records and adhering to HIPAA standards.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.

Commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care.

Working Hours

12 hr shifts 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am
