Your Role
We are hiring an entry-level Microbiology Technician to join our team! The Microbiology Technician I is responsible for supporting microbiological testing activities in a laboratory environment while ensuring compliance with established procedures, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and quality standards.
This is a temporary six-month position with the schedule of Friday – Sunday (12 hour shifts), with the potential for conversion to a full-time employee (FTE). This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates, interns, or individuals beginning their careers in microbiology.
- Perform routine microbiological laboratory activities in accordance with approved procedures and protocols.
- Prepare samples, media, reagents, and laboratory materials as required.
- Support environmental monitoring, microbial testing, and laboratory housekeeping activities.
- Accurately document laboratory activities following GDP requirements.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and work areas in a clean and compliant state.
- Follow aseptic techniques and laboratory best practices.
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline; students nearing degree completion may also be considered.
- Internship, laboratory coursework, or academic experience in microbiology preferred.
- Basic understanding of microbiological techniques and laboratory practices.
- Ability to follow written procedures and protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with GDP principles is preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
