We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Commissioning Technician to join our Commissioning team. This role supports the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated warehouse and material handling systems at customer sites throughout the United States. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically curious, and enjoys working in fast-paced industrial environments. This position offers opportunities to build experience with industrial automation, controls systems, PLC troubleshooting, and advanced material handling technologies while collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers in the field. Location Requirements: Must live in one of the following states to be considered: AR, CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, ME, MD, MA, MI, MS, MO, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NC, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, UT, VT, VA, WI Job Functions: Support commissioning and startup activities for automated warehouse and material handling systems. Perform system testing including I/O verification, E-stop validation, motor rotation checks, and sensor adjustments. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and controls-related issues using schematics, meters, and diagnostic tools. Assist with PLC and automation troubleshooting activities. Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to validate system functionality and interface logic. Document testing activities, issues, and system updates accurately and timely. Participate in customer and installer training during startup and commissioning activities. Maintain compliance with company and customer safety requirements. QualificationsRequired Skills and Abilities:  Proficient with Studio 5000 using structured text and ladder logic.  Works independently to debug PLC code and optimize equipment Proficient in electrical troubleshooting, system testing, and software interfaces. Strong documentation and communication skills. Familiarity with commissioning best practices Familiarity with WTI systems (Preferred, would require training for external candidates). Must have a valid driver’s license Fit for air travel and legal eligibility to rent and operate a rental vehicle through the company’s corporate account, in compliance with rental agency policies and insurance requirements.   Education and Experience:  2–4 years of field commissioning or controls experience.   Physical Requirements: Lift up to 50 lbs, work in elevated environments, and operate diagnostic tools.
