Your Role
We are hiring a motivated Microbiology Technician Level II/III to join our team! The Microbiology Technician II/III is responsible for performing microbiological testing and laboratory operations in a GMP-regulated environment. The successful candidate will possess strong microbiological laboratory skills, experience following protocols and GDP requirements, and some experience executing disinfectant efficacy testing (DET).
This is a temporary six-month position with the schedule of Friday – Sunday (12 hour shifts), with the potential for conversion to a full-time employee (FTE).
- Execute microbiological testing activities in accordance with approved procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Perform disinfectant efficacy testing (DET) and related microbiological assays.
- Conduct environmental monitoring and microbial identification activities as required.
- Review and accurately complete laboratory documentation in compliance with GDP standards.
- Investigate laboratory deviations and support corrective and preventive action activities.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, materials, and controlled environments.
- Assist with method execution, protocol adherence, and troubleshooting laboratory issues.
- Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train and mentor junior laboratory staff as appropriate.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field.
- Level II: 2+ years of microbiology laboratory experience.
- Level III: 3+ years of microbiology laboratory experience.
- Experience executing Disinfectant Efficacy Testing (DET) preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in microbiological techniques and aseptic practices.
- Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GDP and laboratory documentation requirements.
- Ability to follow detailed protocols and work independently.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
