Senior HR Advisor
Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be supporting one of our clients in Alfreton to appoint a Senior HR Advisor to join their existing HR team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a HR generalist to join a busy manufacturing company, supporting the site with day to day generalist HR. Initially the role will also support an additional site in the south so some travel will be required.
Ideally from a manufacturing, FMCG or logistics type background the role will report into the HR Manager and will be fully responsible for all operational HR activity and advice to managers. This will include several generalist areas of HR including ER, recruitment, absence management, training & development, supervisor and manager support and advice, as well as all associated HR admin and HRMI.
Working as part of the wider team, the role will cover payroll and reception as required.Role responsibilities will include:- Supporting managers on all areas of ER and performance management- Monitor and take action on long and short term absence, liaising with Occ.
Health as appropriate- Involvement with time & attendance, liaising with the Payroll Administrator as required- Manage recruitment both interim and permanent, liaising with agencies - Advising managers on performance management issues and development plans- Dealing with all areas of HR Admin as required including issuing contracts, offer letters, updates to the HR System and communications- Support implementation of appraisal and development processes- Advise and guide on policies and procedures in line with employment legislation and updates to employment law- Ensure compliance with HR data, administration and HR systems;
analyse data and produce reports- Support on ad-hoc HR related projects as requiredTo be successful in this role:- CIPD qualified or working towards- Proven experience operating in a generalist HR role ideally within a fast paced environment with high volume activity such as FMCG, manufacturing, logistics, etc.
- Experience and confidence of influencing stakeholders - Good understanding of employment law- Strong HR administrative and process skills- Experience of employee relations, grievance & disciplinaries, absence management- Strong team working skills - High levels of accuracy and attention to detail- Strong IT skillsYou must be flexible to some travel however longer term the Southern site may establish their own HR function so could be a short term requirement.
Ideally the role will be on site full-time but consideration will be given to some hybrid working particularly when relationships are established.
