An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Repairs Scheduler to work with one of our public sector clients on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for effective diary management by planning repairs, making appointments with customers, allocating work to trade operatives and ensuring the best use of trades skills whilst taking into account travel time and geography.

Responsibilities

* To provide an efficient, knowledgeable and professional first point of contact for all enquiries from customers relating to property maintenance and general repairs.
* To ensure enquiries are dealt with effectively, obtaining sufficient and accurate information to correctly diagnose what work is required before passing to trade operatives
* To raise maintenance job tickets via the repairs system in accordance with policies and procedures and ensure all data is recorded accurately, in line with GDPR and full contact details are recorded for all callers.
* Scheduling work for trade operatives, ensuring diaries are planned at least 2 weeks ahead to obtain maximum efficiency, productivity, and making best use of the skills and expertise. You will ensure trade operatives have the workloads to allow them to perform to an optimum level.
* Manage the allocation and progress of works orders to subcontractors, in accordance with procurement procedures and within timescales and service standards.
* To action and raise jobs for all necessary out of hours' orders.
* To assist in the organisation of planned and void works programmes.
* Put the customer at the heart of all you do and utilise the scheduling system to ensure customers receive timely service based around "what matters" to them.
* Maintain effective communication with operatives to monitor the progress of jobs, workloads and ensure repairs are prioritised and undertaken within appropriate timescales

Person Specification, Skills & Qualifications
* Experience of allocating works to trades staff in a response repairs environment
* Experience of scheduling in a dynamic manner and in real time
* Experience of resource management
* Experience of working in a social housing repairs environment
* Able to make effective decisions and respond effectively to changing priorities
* Good IT skills and experience of working with databases and creating reports
