Transport Coordinator

Bennett and Game are currently working with an established Logistics firm that offer full services in complete Freight, Warehousing & Transport solutions actively seeking a Transport Coordinator to join their Bromley location.

Freight Coordinator Position Overview

Within this role you will assist in the overall management of the companies transport operation. The company don't have their own fleet and use 3rd party and sub-contractors for all of their transport operations so previous experience booking, negotiating and dealing with these are essential.

You will oversee distribution of EU products into the UK and liaise with both EU & UK transport firms to arrange pick up, delivery and storage of a range of products in food, ambient and household markets.

Part of your role will be to process transport and distribution paper work and orders into Excel so excellent Excel & Microsoft knowledge and experience is essential in this position.

Freight Coordinator Position Requirements

• Proven experience dealing with Sub-contractors & 3rd party haulage firms - essential
• Excellent and proven Excel IT skills and experience
• Excel knowledge and experience at a good level is essential
• Experience negotiating rates, prices and time frames with external transport firms
• Skill set to build relationships with new and existing hauliers - Essential
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills - Essential
• Knowledge of EU transport legislation and regulations - Desirable
• Knowledge of warehousing and distribution operations is desirable

Freight Coordinator Position Remuneration

• Salary DOE �27-32k
• Monday - Friday 8-5 working hours
