Support Workers – Full Time & Flexible working available for Day and Night Staff£8.91-£16.00 per HourAt BHC we truly believe that caring is a vocation not just a job. We understand the pressures of the role so ensure that all of our care workers are valued, respected and supported.We are currently recruiting for Support Workers to work with young persons or adults with learning disabilities in a variety of sectors and provide support to people in a variety of settings including;
residential, supported living and outreach services.

You will be providing care to people with varying needs including challenging behaviour, learning disability, autism, mental health and children's services.

We are currently looking for Support Workers who want to make real difference to the lives of young people with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties and adults with learning disabilities and possible autism.

We have day and night requirements with full and part time hours needed across many clients.Driving is not essential but will help with remote services.Responsibilities:Providing personal care, domestic tasks and housing related support in a residential setting.Providing boundaries and direction around positive behaviours.

Promoting choice and independence.Supporting service users to live a life as full as possible and to engage with the community.Provide physical and emotional support, ensuring that respect, dignity and confidentiality is maintained at all times.Carry out regular observations and assessments of the Children and Young People.

Report writingUse initiative to independently respond to unexpected problems or situations.Requirements:Experience of providing care and/or support to vulnerable people and/or young people.Possess excellent people skills.Have a passion for providing care and support.

Be able to develop and maintain good working relationshipsBe able to demonstrate positive personal authority.Have a passion for supporting young people with emotional behavioural difficulties.Have great communication skillsBenefits:Excellent rates of pay.Weekly pay via BACSOngoing training & development, including opportunity to study NVQ 2 and 3Holiday PayFlexible shift patterns to suit your lifestyleRecommend a friend scheme.

Please note that all care staff must be at least 21 years old. No person can work in a children’s home unless they are at least 3 years older than the oldest child accommodated.
