My client is a market leader in the Defence manufacturing sector in Chaddesden, southern Derbyshire. They run both a detailed production & warehousing operation in the area. Their products are supplied to a range of NATO militaries and defence contractors across the world, alongside a host of aerospace providers. The business currently run a 4on4off shift pattern.

Description

As a Inventory & Stock Team Leader you will report into the Operations Warehouse Manager on a daily based upon the Chaddesden site in Derbyshire. You will be responsible for the following key areas:

• To coach, mentor and display a lead by example approach.
• In conjunction with the master production schedule, monitor daily production and packing targets to ensure on track, any deviation recovery plans to be considered with the Manufacturing Supervisor.
• Responsibility for the schedule adherence KPI.
• To set up production lines, ensuring all documents and parts are in place, start up audits completed in the pre-production weeks.
• To maintain a high levels of 5'S in all warehouses, stores, manufacturing buildings, containers, magazines and packing.
• Ensure all stock in warehouses, stores and magazines are correctly identified and stored.
• Manage and control, materials, sub-assemblies and finished goods to maintain building licence requirements.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and control of live / inert parts and weapons through cycle / random stock counts and audits.
• To manage the despatch processes including pre-loading checks on goods, ensuring sufficient container loading materials including webbing, buckles and hooks, overseeing and being involved in the loading and despatch operation.

Profile

The successful Inventory & Stock Team Leader will have the following skill-set and attributes:

• 2+ years experience in a Warehouse, Stock & Inventory environment
• Commutable to Chaddesden, Derbyshire
• Experience managing teams of between 5-20 operatives
