Psychology Graduate - Teaching AssistantCroydonASAP StartTime Plan Education are pleased to be working with a special needs school in Croydon. They are recruiting several graduate teaching assistants to start ASAP. These are full-time positions for the remainder of the academic year, via the agency. Working hours are 8am - 4pm, Monday to Friday.

The school caters for 220 pupils aged 5-19 years old, with EHCPs for SEMH and complex behaviour needs. Many students have additional needs including ASD, ADHD and SpLD. As well as a varied curriculum, they also offer a range of therapies and extra-curricular activities.

The selected applicants will ideally have some SEN experience, especially with SEMH, complex behaviour and ASD. As well as supporting students on a 1:1 basis, you will also be required to support whole classes when needed. You will have a caring, calm personality with a keen interest to progress in the field of SEN.

This position will give anyone considering a future in teaching valuable classroom-based experience supporting children on a one-on-one and group basis.We are looking for individuals that are dedicated to supporting children of different age groups and can adapt.

Job RequirementsExperience of supporting children or young adults with learning difficulties or disabilities desirable.

Able to stay calm and de-escalate challenging Behaviour.
