Principal Designer / CDM Consultant

Our client a well-established Architectural Practice based in Edinburgh is actively seeking a Principal Designer / CDM Consultant to join their team.

You will have the ability to undertake the Principal Designer role on a series of complex construction projects and be able to work as part of a wider team.

Principal Designer / CDM Consultant Position Overview

• Help and advise the client in bringing together pre-construction information
• Provide guidance to designers and contractors to carry out their duties
• Delegating work between the team and providing support to those less experienced
• Provide the duties of Principal Designer on projects from new build to refurbishment
• Attending design team meetings engaging with client, principal constructors and project designers.
• Advising the client of their duties in accordance with CDM2015 regulations

Principal Designer / CDM Consultant Position Requirements

• Have a construction/building / design / health and safety related degree at 2:2 level or above.
• Have previous CDM related experience
• Communicate effectively with all parties.
• Be able to self-manage day-to-day tasks and have awareness of overall project timescales.
• Initially assist the Head of CDM in fulfilling the duties of the principal designer on a variety of projects.
• Attend internal CPD's and furthering technical knowledge.
• Involvement in the company Functional Structure in a supporting capacity.
• Have an awareness of business and service development activities and supporting as required.

Principal Designer / CDM Consultant Position Remuneration

• Salary: �45,000 to �60,000 (DOE)
