Throughout the next months to mid to end of September our client sees its busiest time harvesting Tomatoes at their premises near Fenstanton.

An excellent opportunity to earn money and keep yourself busy over the coming months! This role will NOT involve working outdoors however instead in a clean environment in their warmer humid conditions in their greenhouses. The environment is relaxed, a place where you can work as part of a team, have some fun but work towards strict, busy deadlines.

Having had successful seasons year after year with our client we have been able to assist individuals in this role from all working backgrounds, students looking for some casual work in lockdown/ over the holidays, office & hospitality workers, professional needing to earn during these times, generally anyone who found themselves without work during the pandemic and Industrial workers from manufacturing, production environments.

Duties will include:

• Picking the crop (Can be physically demanding as lifting the thick tomato vines out from the root)
• Packing vegetables from large crop lines in their greenhouse
• Chopping and removal of any surplus greenery before vegetables are packed.

Attributes:

• Although the work is not tremendously physically demanding, the role will suit an individual who does not have an issue with working in humid warm environments. Tolerance, endurance, and flexibility is a must!
• Comfortable with early starts and flexibility to work overtime is advantageous.

Working Hours: 06.30am to 16.30pm Monday to Friday for now. 2 half hour breaks at separate intervals during the working day. Flexibility required with the working days over the weeks as the workloads change. Hours can be discussed & there is flexibility around your start and finish times if you are interested.

The role has been offered Part Time work in the past a bit later into the season, which is usually two or three days a week, but this is not guaranteed and subject to the client's requirements this year.
