Field Sales Executive – Waste Management

The Company

Central Waste is rapidly expanding due to continued growth with new and existing customers.

We are a progressive and dynamic Merseyside based company which offer a diverse range of waste & recycling services to our client base.

Our core services include – Commercial waste collections, food recycling, glass recycling, dry mixed recycling, skip hire & waste cooking oil collections.

Our clients include a broad range of commercial, industrial and public sector portfolios.

Role

We are currently seeking to recruit a field based Business Development Executive who ideally has previous experience of selling waste contracts within the commercial sector, however, full training will be provided.

We are looking for an energetic person for this role who is passionate about the services they sell, they must be able to build strong relationships with our existing and new clients as well as collaborate with the whole team to help drive sales to hit target.

The majority of your sales will be focused on new business so you must be a motivated self-starter.

You will be responsible for all stages of the sales process from cold calling, quoting and closing down the sale.

Skills and Experience;

  • Developing business relationships across commercial and public sectors
  • Confident using social media platforms as a way of gaining leads/interest
  • Surveying of sites/jobs in order to establish clients’ requirements
  • Actively work to build knowledge and rapport with clients which may involve visiting sites across the Merseyside & the Wirral.
  • Submission of quotations
  • Providing accurate information through to the operational team to ensure contract/job requirements are met
  • Building pipeline for single and multiple site services and bundled services
  • Able to self-generate own leads
  • Work to set KPI’S

Principal responsibilities / Knowledge / Experience

You will ideally be from a waste background with an understanding of waste management and recycling.

  • Maintain a professional relationship with customers and ensure they are kept satisfied with the company's services.
  • Proven experience of working or selling at least one of our core services.
  • Proven experience of developing and increasing business
  • Effective Communicator.
  • Prompt and accurate reporting to Head of Business Development as necessary
  • Computer literate and comfortable using a computer for various tasks
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.

Desirable

Knowledge / experience with working/selling of any of our Core services

Prerequisite

  • DBS check
  • Driving licence check
  • Job competency and relevant experience
