Our Kintore based client has an opportunity for an experienced Welder to join their team. This is a temporary role for an initial period of 6-8 months. Applicants should have experience of working to a standard of 6G and also Fillet welds in FCAW and GTAW and will ideal have a TIG qualification.Key duties include:To weld complete tools/equipment to standards/procedures set out by the company and our customers/clients.

To work to and maintain a high standard of quality to the company products and services.Work in a safe manner at all times to protect all colleagues, visitors and clients on site.

To carry out the movement of material/equipment within the shop area.To ensure that all defect to material, components or equipment is reported to the Fabricator/Welder Supervisor.To liaise with the Fabricator/Welder Supervisor on any issues arising.To report any environmental and health & safety issues that arise.

To work within company standards and company procedures at all times.Any other duties required by the Fabricator/Welder Supervisor.Aid in the creation of risk assessments as and when required.Liaison with the supervisor on any material, customer/project issues.To maintain material certification and traceability for all material used.

To ensure that all gauge/inspection equipment are correct and current prior to use.Qualificatons/ExperienceMechanical trade with good all-round understanding of fabrication and welding techniques.TIG, FCAW Welder qualifications may be provided, previous experience essential.

Fabrication experience desirable but not essential.Required to weld to a standard of 6G, also Fillet welds in FCAW and GTAWAbility to work as part of a small focused team working to high standards withclient lead times being the delivery driver.Flexibility and shift working on occasions required.

Ability to read & understand engineering drawings/specifications etc.The use of fabrication and welding equipment and test tools in a safe manner.Ability to use inspection equipment.Full understanding of various methods of assembly and testing.Skill in planning methods of fabrication and welding.

Ability to use lifting equipment effectively.Understanding of Environment and Health & Safety.Competent level of understanding in:- Engineering terminologies;
