The successful Health and Safety Coordinator will provide a comprehensive Health and Safety support to the Health & Safety Advisor/Manager and site operation.Client DetailsOur client is a large retail distributor based near Leeds who require a Health and Safety Coordinator. DescriptionTo accurately maintain and update Health & Safety spreadsheets and statisticsTo scan and file Health & Safety documentation as requiredTo conduct yourself professionally at all times, maintaining confidentiality in matters involving safety investigationsTo assist with Tool-box talks H&S consultations with the management teamTo liaise with Operations to complete accident investigationsTo accurately scan, file and log accidents in line with the Clipper processTo deliver, take notes and document actions in Health & Safety meetingsAssist with risk assessments as required, while proactively following up on control measures until completeTo order safety supplies as requiredTo maintain and update the Health & Safety noticeboardsTo undertake action plans to ensure continuing, sustained compliance with legislationSafeguard data at all timesTo undertake all other tasks as reasonably requested by the Health & Safety Manager, Advisor and Management teamTo update internal records regarding incidents, near misses and accidentsProfileThe successful candidate will live within a commutable distance to Leeds and hold the following attributes:High attention to detail and accuracyPrevious experience in a Health and Safety roleHealth and Safety qualifications would advantageous Good organisational skillsGood numerical skillsGood interpersonal skillsGood verbal and written communicationAbility to work under pressureGood level of Microsoft Office, including excelWorks on own initiativeFlexible with the ability to embrace changeJob OfferThe successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary and other benefits
