We are a team of specialist fire protection consultants, looking to appoint an experienced and hard-working Passive Fire Protection Inspector to our expanding team.Key ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities of a Passive Fire Protection Inspector include, but are not limited to:Detailed inspection, recording and reporting of the condition of built-in fire protection measures within new and existing properties in line with the latest Building Regulations, standards and technical literature.

Our experts are qualified and have vast experience in the construction industry relating to the structural fire protection and fire compartmentation requirements of civil and commercial construction projects and equal experience in the products that are installed to meet these requirements.
Managing Director and Senior Consultant John Aitken has previously served as Technical Manager for two of the UK’s primary product manufacturers and has further extensive experience as contracts manager with a former well-known fire protection contractor.
All forms of structural steel fire protection and fire-stopping require specialist knowledge for correct specification and on-site monitoring.
Firespec are instrumental in the success of their clients’ passive and reactive fire protection contracts through the consultancy and inspection services delivered.The PersonThe key skills and qualities of our ideal candidate will be:An experienced industry professional with an inspection, supervisory or management background.
Extensive installation experience is an advantage.Must be conversant in current legislation and have a thorough knowledge of a wide range of products and their installation processes including fire stopping, fire barriers, fire doors, fire dampers and structural steel protection.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.Flexibility and willingness to travel, including overnight when required.Professional, ethical and independent.Willingness to work towards and achieve relevant professional qualifications and continual professional development.
