Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications For this role you must possess the following;
Valid CSCSStrong IT skillQualified to HND Level on a relevant course Experience managing multiple small projects at onceMinimum 3 years industry experience The RoleAs an experienced Quantity Surveyor operating in Greater Manchester, you will be responsible for cost control procedures and for managing the budget and valuations on multiple residential developments as well as always keeping up to date with the estimated final costs.

You will liaise with the Project Planner / Scheduler to ensure that orders are placed in a timely manner and liaise with site teams and sub-contractors to maximise productivity and reduce non productive costs.

DutiesProcurementSuperb negotiation capabilitiesAbility to multitask and prioritise projectsMust be team-focused and results focusedStrong communication, sales and presentation skillsParticipate in the settlement of main contract final accountsMonitor sub-contractor performance in consultation with senior staffParticipate in the recording of delays & preparation of any request for extensions of timeGenerate/maintain relevant records, accurate filing and support for all commercial functionsProvide tender analysis to relevant people for approval of proposed sub-contractor prior to placing of orders.

Collate pre-qualification questionnaires for sub-contractors and liaise with Quality and Health & Safety to obtain approvalParticipate in the management of the supply chain and project costs of construction projects to ensure the overall financial success of a projectAttend pre-start meetings and ensure that all relevant sub-contract paperwork and signed trade specifications are uploaded to DMS prior to start on site of the sub-contractor.
