We are looking for a male Support Worker to join our Service based in Wath on a permanent basis, to support three gents people who live in a quiet residential street. Experience in learning disabilities, autism, and diversion techniques are desirable but not essential as all training will be given. We are looking for someone to have the following skills: Some of the support you will be providing – arranging / supporting to and from a range of activities/day placements, finding new places to visit, teaching life skills, supporting with personal care, household tasks, shopping/meal planning and cooking healthy meals, administering medication/working with other health professionals and keeping digital records up to date. We are looking for individuals who have a happy and smiley disposition with a great sense of humour! You will be part of a positive and supportive team who are motivated by the people we support in a person-centred way. The role of a Support Worker can be challenging at times, so it is essential to have a positive mind-set with a desire to improve the lives of those with a learning disability. You will need to be quick thinking. with a positive can-do attitude. We realise that your quality time is important too, so your rota is prepared well in advance. 25 hours per week which may include long days, weekend working, with weekends off per rota, flexibility and willing to cover extra shifts for annual leave and sickness etc. You do not need to have experience, but it is essential that you share our values.
