The successful candidate will be an experienced senior estates surveyor and will occupy a senior role in the Estates & Commercial Property and housing team within the Infrastructure Service. The post holder will assist the Team Leader in ensuring the effective delivery of a valuation, surveying and land agency service for clients both within and outwith the Council. * Overseeing and undertaking asset valuations of land and buildings across the corporate portfolio including the re-valuation of all assets on a 5-year cyclical basis
* The acquisition and disposal of land and property assets including assisting in the transfer of assets under the Council's Community Asset Transfer programme
* Assisting with the maintenance of the Council's Asset Register and managing land and property information on the Corporate Asset Management system
* Current valid driving licence
* Substantial experience in general practice/land agency division of the surveying profession
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work both individually and especially as part of a small and close-knit team.
* High level communication skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels, both face to face and by telephone and Microsoft Teams
* Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and use initiative in day-to-day duties
