Due to continued growth are looking for a Commercial Contracts Manager, based in Teesside, some of your key responsibilities will include:• Making strategic decisions• Owning and supporting key supplier engagements, building relationships, partnerships to influence outcomes• Developing and improving commercial engagements and contractual solutions that deliver win-win and sustainable outcomes• Overcoming barriers with innovative, strategic thinking• Acting as a role model & coach for the Pre-Contract team, providing support, training and development for staffWhat will you bring to the role?
You'll be skilled and experienced in preparing, tendering, negotiating and administering construction contracts, and can work in a fast-moving environment.
You should be able to work autonomously with limited supervision and have the determination to succeed. You’ll also need;
• Expert experience in negotiating construction contracts for major construction projects• Experience in supplier engagement, being able to build relationships, partnerships and influence outcomes• Track record of successfully negotiating strategic contracts with large capital budgets • Ability to develop and improve commercial engagements and contractual solutions that deliver win-win and sustainable outcomes• Innovative thinking skills to overcome problems • Experience of being an integral part of any major tenders including tender preparation, supplier clarification sessions, evaluation, contract development and award decisions.
