Project Engineer Position Overview

My client are an industry leader with the most comprehensive line of channels and fittings, along with a complete line of Cable Management systems including Tray, Ladder and Trunking. A worldwide network of engineering and distribution centres supports them ensuring they are a well-respected choice for metal framing and cable management needs.


Responsibilities include:

  • Encourage, facilitate and support innovative system design
  • Interrogate Navisworks /Revit models providing support solutions for MEP runs
  • Present and explain proposals, report, and findings to clients
  • Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications
  • Work closely with the Business Development Managers, Sales and Marketing team to research into what customers want and communicate this back to the design team
  • Work with engineering to reduce part costs across products. Analyze assembly parts and steps to determine assembly cost during design.
  • Apply DFMA methods for parts and assemblies.
  • Provide analytical input to all areas of the design and manufacturing process.
  • Review current practices for Product Development and Introduction and build new best practices that will deliver Product Excellence
  • Work with the Quality department on Product Vision and ensuring standards as necessary
  • Prepare and manipulate design calculations
  • Attend customer site meetings
  • Researches improvements in the industry to identify better assembly solutions to continuously improve designs
  • Identify new manufacturing processes, tooling or technology
  • Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding design and manufacturing capabilities, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.

Project Engineer Position Requirements

  • CAD Experience essential
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Inventor, Navisworks, Revit proficient.
  • Clear Understanding of DfMA, MMC, Design and Delivery Strategy
  • Carrying out FEA and stress analysis
  • Load and stress calculations
  • Knowledge of renewables sector
  • Multi Discipline Design Engineer in Building Services, Pharmaceutical, Process & Oil and Gas Industries
  • Understanding of Services, Support Design, Simulation, Frame & Stress Analysis
  • Understanding of offsite manufacture design principles
  • Understanding of Site Logistics to allow for efficient Installation of Support Bracketry and Modular Solutions
  • Understanding of Meshing
  • Manufacturing Processes
  • Material Properties

Project Engineer Position Remuneration

  • Competitive salary of �45,000- �50,000
