Hunter Selection are working with a leading manufacturer based in Caerphilly, on the outskirts of Cardiff. This is a great time to join an expanding business, following a period of sustained growth they are looking to introduce new products off the back of recently won contracts. The business are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to bolster their engineering department. This role will suit an experienced manufacturing engineer with experience of maintaining manufacturing processes, project activities and continuous improvement initiatives. Role & Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering drawings to identify current and new processes required for efficient manufacture of products to customer specifications
- Creation of CNC programs for new and existing products using CADCAM software packages and ISO code writing
- Design of jigs, fixtures and tooling for efficient manufacture of components
- Using customer and internal CAD data to create Bill of Material, production routing, finishing and packaging requirements. Accurately enter this data onto the ERP system
- Interpret engineering drawings to identify current and new processes required for efficient manufacture of products to customer specifications
- Interface with the sales and production departments to ensure projects are completed to achieve customer satisfaction and on time delivery
- Ensure products are manufactured in accordance with all relevant industry standards and Customer requirements
- Collaborate with the quality department in response to any customer concerns, follow the 8D process of containment and implementation of corrective and preventative actions
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- 3 years' experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role.
- Experience of CNC Machining.
- Experience with CADCAM.
- Excellent 3D CAD skills.
