Vibe Recruit's client is looking to appoint a Panel Wirer to join their team. This is a full time, permanent position.

The role involves the assembly and wiring of control panels to precise specifications ensuring safety, functionality, and compliance with industry standards.

  • Salary circa £25K depending on experience
  • Working hours: Mon-Thurs 7.45am-4.30pm, Fri 7.45am-1pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and wire control panels according to engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Perform continuity checks, insulation tests, and other required tests to ensure quality and functionality
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure efficiency and safety.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify wiring issues as they arise
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to interpret complex designs and implement modifications when necessary.
  • Adhere to all quality control standards and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven Experience. Minimum of 2 years' experience in panel wiring or a similar role within the electrical manufacturing sector.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and understanding electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Testing and Compliance. Knowledge of electrical testing procedures and standards (e.g., BS7671).
  • Attention to Detail. High level of precision and focus to ensure all wiring is executed correctly.
  • Problem Solving. Ability to diagnose and solve wiring problems efficiently.
  • Teamwork. Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Candidates will be required to undertake a practical wiring test during the interview to demonstrate their skills.

Must be capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 20kg.
