Our client, a well-established manufacturer specialising in high-quality, handcrafted upholstered furniture are seeking an experienced manufacturing manager to join their team.
This opportunity will be based at their site in South Wales.
Manufacturing Manager Job Overview
- Lead and supervise the daily operations of the upholstery department
- Manage and train a team of approx. 50 employees.
- Plan and allocate workloads to meet production schedules and deadlines
- Oversee the inspection to ensure quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., design, production, logistics) to coordinate workflow.
- Evaluate processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency
- Monitor performance and provide feedback to staff for continuous improvement
Manufacturing Manager Job Requirements
- Proven experience in a Manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Ideal candidate will have experience in Upholstery and Furniture manufacturing
- Understanding of Manufacturing processes and familiarity with design specifications and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Manufacturing Manager Salary & Benefits
- Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 17:00 / Friday 07:30 - 13:30
- Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)
- Voluntary overtime paid at a premium rate
- Fully on-site permanent position
- 28 days holiday per year pro rata
