Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is seeking a highly motivated Team Practice and Development Manager to join their dedicated Learning Disability Team. Pay Rate: £50.28 per hour
About the Role:As the Team Practice and Development Manager, you will play a crucial leadership role in enhancing the professional development and practice standards within the Learning Disability Team. This is a non-case holding management position focused on quality assurance, practice improvement, and staff supervision. You will be responsible for:
- Providing expert guidance and support to social workers and practitioners within the Learning Disability Team.
- Leading on practice development initiatives, ensuring adherence to best practice, statutory guidance, and local policies.
- Overseeing complex cases and offering reflective supervision, coaching, and mentoring to staff.
- Contributing to the strategic development of the service, identifying training needs, and implementing learning opportunities.
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care and support for individuals with learning disabilities and their families.
- Monitoring team performance and contributing to positive team culture.
- A Social Work Degree or equivalent relevant degree.
- Significant post-qualifying experience (ideally 5+ years) working with adults with learning disabilities in the UK, with proven experience in a senior practitioner or management role.
- Registered with Social Care Wales.
- An up-to-date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service).
