Commercial Manager – Energy Sector

Our client, a leading engineering & construction contractor, is looking for a Commercial Manager to support key Energy projects in Aberdeenshire.
With a strong pipeline of work and continued investment in sustainable energy infrastructure, this is a fantastic opportunity to work at the forefront of the UK’s energy transition.
What You’ll Do
- Manage all commercial aspects of projects & liaise with key stakeholders
- Lead monthly cost and value reconciliation reviews
- Handle contractual changes: variations, contractor claims, early warnings
- Work with the Project Director to manage risk registers
- Lead & mentor the commercial project team
- Oversee procurement to deliver commercially advantageous outcomes
- Maximise cash position via WIP control & cash flow improvements
- Monitor contractor costs weekly & provide actionable insights
- Support programme management & drive continuous commercial improvement
About You
- Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent
- Strong experience in Civil Engineering/Construction commercial roles
- Expert knowledge of NEC & other standard contracts
- Understanding of programming techniques & project controls
