I'm seeking an experienced Electronic Design Engineer to support projects in Aberdeen. This contract role focuses on both digital and analogue circuit design, contributing to the development of reliable, high-performance electronic systems.
Contract Details: Electronic Design Engineer, outside IR35, hybrid (1 days on-site per week), 50 per hour, 3- months, Aberdeen.
Project Scope:
- Design, simulate, and develop digital and analogue electronic circuits
- Create and review schematics, layouts, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronic designs into wider systems
- Conduct validation, testing, and troubleshooting of prototypes and production hardware
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety-critical requirements
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in both digital and analogue circuit design
- Proficiency with electronic design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, Mentor Graphics)
- Strong knowledge of PCB layout and design for manufacturability
- Familiarity with FPGA/microcontroller-based system design
- Experience with testing, validation, and fault-finding on electronic hardware
- Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., EMC, safety-critical or aerospace/industrial standards)
