Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a global organisation who are a leading supplier of mooring technology, innovators and solution providers for various marine engineering projects. Together we are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join the team in Aberdeen to lead the technical delivery and coordination for mooring systems and SURF for permanent offshore floating structures.

The Senior Project Engineer role comes with a salary of up to 85,000 plus a discretionary bonus scheme and great company culture.

Responsibilities and duties of the Senior Project Engineer role

Reporting to the Head of Projects you will:

  • Lead the technical responses as part of project tenders associated with marine and subsea construction activities for permanent floating structures.
  • Take on the full project management for certain individual projects under supervision of the Head of Projects.
  • Work with stakeholders, clients and other external parties to ensure delivery of engineering projects.
  • Create and maintain all project work schedules.
  • Produce work scopes for sub-contractors.
  • Attend and oversee the execution phases of offshore operations when required to ensure all procedures and guidelines are complied with.
  • Actively participate in QHSE and risk assessment related activities.





Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Degree in Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 5 years experience within the marine and subsea construction sector including a strong understanding of moorings and SURF.
  • Experience in the design and installation of permanent mooring systems for units such as FPSO's, FSO's, FSU's, FWT's and CALM Buoys etc.
  • Knowledge of Orcaflex would be an advantage.
