Head of STEM
Full Time (37.5 hours/week) | Fixed Term until 25/09/2026
Salary: Up to GBP42,318 per annum


Were looking for an ambitious and experienced Head of STEM to lead our STEM academic team at one of the universities we work with in Aberdeen. You'll be responsible for driving excellent student outcomes, supporting curriculum development, and ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics pathways.


Working closely with the Head of Curriculum and Progression, youll ensure alignment with university expectations, manage academic quality assurance, and support staff performance and professional development.


Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the STEM team to meet progression and quality targets
Collaborate with the University on curriculum design and alignment
Oversee STEM module delivery and manage staff performance and timetabling
Contribute to curriculum innovation, compliance, and programme development
Analyse student performance data and support continuous improvement


About You:
Proven academic leadership experience in a relevant STEM discipline
Strong background in curriculum planning, quality assurance, and staff management
Ability to drive improvement, lead teams, and work collaboratively with university partners
Experience supporting international students and understanding of their academic needs


TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
